Meizhou – Capital of Hakkas of the World


Meizhou (梅州) is a county in the province of Guangdong in China. Population 5.05 million.

It is considered to be the capital of the Hakka people ( a sub-ethnical group of Han Chinese). In Meizhou you will be able to get to know their unique culture, architecture(dragon houses -围龙屋 — wéilóng wū and square houses – 四角楼 — sìjǐao lóu)) and traditional cuisine.
